Study in Dubrovnik

There aren’t many opportunities to study in a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a prominent tourist destination in the Mediterranean Sea, but here is one. Dubrovnik is more accessible to international students than ever before, with two private universities offering undergraduate programmes completely in English. The city is an ideal place to study hospitality and tourism, but you can find courses in computer science and international relations too.

As expected in a city with a booming tourism industry, the living cost in Dubrovnik is among the highest in Croatia. Finding a comfortable place to live within a student budget can be a challenge. There is no student residence in Dubrovnik, but rooms in private dormitories are available to students at a reasonable price. The average monthly rent is €150 for a single room and €350 for an apartment. Alternatively, you can take a bed in a double, triple or quadruple room for a lower price. Most of the private dormitories are located in Ploče, a safe and residential area within a walking distance to local universities. With a more generous budget, you can rent in Lapad Bay, which is closer to the beach and only a short bus ride away from the impeccably preserved Old Town. The average living cost, excluding accommodation, for a full-time student in Dubrovnik is €200.

Jet2 and British Airways operate direct flights between London and Dubrovnik. Upon arriving at Dubrovnik Airport, you can take a bus directly to the city centre.

Buses in Dubrovnik are frequent and affordable. A monthly pass costs as little as €7.
